UKPMS Integration in AMX

AMX’s UKPMS accreditation currently covers England and Wales, with Scotland and Northern Ireland not included, and applies to scanner vehicles, visual surveys, and other survey types. It is important to note that England is moving from the UKPMS standard to PAS 2161, leaving Wales as the sole user of UKPMS, outlining the implications for survey processes and accreditation.

Network Data Management

AMX enables users to manage, filter, and export network sections for surveys, accommodating client-specific needs such as independent left- and right-lane data.

Network Section Setup

Clients like Leeds and Wrexham maintain their network sections within AMX, with variations in data recording and workflow.

Enhancements for Dual Lane Mapping

AMX has implemented some enhancements to support dual-lane mapping in response to changing requirements. The current limitations in live and XSP mapping mean that we have plans for further development and regression testing.

Network Extraction

Sections can be filtered to include the required roads, and a network can be exported as a map file for the survey provider and as a snapshot within AMX.

Survey File Verification

The initial verification step checks the survey file's validity and generates a log file to identify any errors before proceeding to the loading stage.

Defect Code Filtering

Only six defect codes relevant to UKPMS accreditation are loaded by default, with an option to load all codes for lifecycle planning if required by the local authority.

Survey File Loading, Processing, and Error Handling

AMX can create a detailed step-by-step process for loading, verifying, and processing survey files, including defect code filtering, error logging, and strategies for handling failures and performance issues.

Report Generation

Accredited reports are produced for submission to the accreditor, with annotated and non-annotated versions, with exact numerical accuracy.

Error Handling and Logs

Errors during loading or processing are recorded in the error log, allowing users to diagnose issues. Scripts are also available to assist with resolving stuck processes.

Condition Mapping Visualisation

The condition mapping feature consolidates road sections by colour (red, amber, green) and allows users to drill down to more detailed lane-level (XSP) views.

SCRIM Survey Handling & Calculations

Our system can handle SCRIM surveys, including lane-by-lane data collection, calculation of investigation levels, and the differences in accreditation and reporting compared to scanner surveys.
